Accreditation with the American Gem Society

Alexander's of Atlanta Fine Jewelry has been accredited by the prestigious American Gem Society, an association of approximately 1,500 retail stores and 2,700 individual titleholders. We express pride in the fact that we are the only independently-owned jewelry store in Atlanta to have earned this accreditation.

The American Gem Society seeks to promote public confidence in the jewelry industry by ensuring that all of its members exhibit the highest commitment to business ethics, jewelry knowledge, consumer protection, and professionalism.

In order to be awarded entry into the American Gem Society, a jewelry firm must hold a reputation for indisputed integrity and must be operated with untainted honesty and candor. Members of the American Gem Society are educated and thoroughly retested annually on their jewelry knowledge. Members must further prove that their first commitment and responsibility is to the happiness and welfare of those who choose to do business with their firm, emphasizing a consistently high standard of quality with regard to customer service. Only a small percentage of firms which apply to the American Gem Society are granted membership.

Our store owner Jefferson Alexander has been certified as a registered jeweler by the American Gem Society. Registered jewelers must complete extensive annual exams as well as demonstrate sustained ethical business practices.
